Coaching the whole person, unlocking potential to perform

In my first blog 'Coaching through transitions in adolescence' I explored the importance of developing the coach-athlete relationship to understand their drivers and motivation.

Once we have a better understanding of the whole person we can support them more effectively to be the best they can be from a physical, cognitive, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual perspective.  As we develop the relationship and trust we begin to notice our athletes, a key aspect is ensuring their wellbeing is managed.

The infographic below highlights the number of considerations and actions a coach has to make in order to help their athletes thrive and not just survive.
