Johnson on Inspire Programme's Positive Impact

Judo coach Jamie Johnson told how the Inspire Coach-development programme has helped him after medal success for his athletes at the Commonwealth Games.

Nekoda Davis won Gold in the Women’s 57kg category while Jemima Yeats-Brown took bronze in the Women’s 63kg category.

Johnson said: “The Inspire Programme has helped me to become a much more confident coach. It has given me a platform to share and gain knowledge with my mentor and different sports. This has impacted on my every day coaching practice and skills.“

sports coach UK, supported by the Home Country Sport Councils, managed the Inspire Programme. The Programme was developed for coaches who had athletes with the potential to medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Funding for the Programme was provided by UK Sport.
