Nominations for the twentieth edition of the UK Coaching Awards have been flying in and UK Coaching is urging members of the public to continue as they mean to go on.

Coaches work tirelessly to keep people active and happy, why not recognise the contribution they make in transforming lives across the UK by nominating them for an award.

Katherine Robinson was nominated for Coach Developer of the Year at the 2016 Awards and went on to win the accolade. She said:

"I was absolutely thrilled and very humbled be nominated for, and win the Coach Developer of the Year award as I’m aware of its prestige and value in the sector.

"The evening was a fantastic experience and a great platform to publicly celebrate the success of the coaching workforce. There are some innovative and inspiring practices taking place by coach developers and this event is a great opportunity to celebrate their work.

"I would encourage all who are thinking about nominating to do so."

There are 12 award categories in total to choose from; eight for coaches, three in support of coaches and an overall UK Coach of the Year award.

This year the event – considered by many to be one of the most prestigious within the coaching community – will be held at The HAC, City of London on Thursday 30 November.
