Benefits for schools

  • Curriculum-linked to Key Stage 4 PE curriculum and 4th Level PE outcomes of the Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Reviewed and developed with the help of teachers to ensure it is easy to manage and integrate as part of your lesson plan or as an afterschool activity.
  • Delivers an award that will be recognised on your students’ CV and record of achievement.
  • Practical approach to learning.
  • Focuses on personal development and not sporting ability.
  • Boosts academic performance by improving students behaviour, confidence and life skills.
  • Complements leadership activities your students are already taking part in on the sports field, in class or through extracurricular activities.

Fiona Sullivan, PE Teacher, St Mungo’s Academy confirms: “Implementing the courses is easy and doesn’t consume a lot of my time. All students who embark on the leadership pathway enjoy the lessons and quickly develop important life skills.”
