Coaching in the UK

Promote your session with Active Alfie

Mon, 24 Aug 2015

Coaches can advertise their sessions for young people online free of charge via Active Alfie, a new beta search engine service which aims to get kids active.

Active Alfie helps parents discover local activity providers through one convenient website.

Founder Joel James discovered the idea of developing a kids’ specific activity search engine last year when he was trying to find a 'street dance' class for his 4-year old daughter as an alternative to watching the ‘Frozen’ movie.

Joel said: "After struggling to find the information I was looking for online, the concept of finding and then accessing local kids activity providers through just one website quickly got me thinking there is a gap in the market.”

Active Alfie will help to attract new participants to activity providers who have a passion for helping children improve their general well-being from both the physical and mental perspective.

The service has already signed up over 1,500 activity providers and is on target to help and support 10,000 activity providers by the end of the year, propelling the company into a strong position to officially launch their website to 18.6 million families in the UK from January 2016.
