sports coach UK congratulates Shane Sutton and Tim Kerrison, the coaches behind 2012 Sports Personality of the Year Bradley Wiggins.

The duo have worked in tandem to guide Wiggins to a memorable year that built with victories in Paris-Nice, the Tour de Romandie and the Critérium du Dauphiné – before the Londoner became the first Brit to win the Tour de France. As if that was momentous enough Wiggins then claimed Gold in the London 2012 Olympic Games Time Trial.

Sutton provides the day-to-day coaching for the 32-year-old, while Kerrison provides the science to help fine-tune Wiggins’ training and conditioning.

Both coaches were inducted into the Coaching Hall of Fame: Supported by Gillette at the UK Coaching Awards 2012: Supported by Gillette.

sports coach UK also congratulates David Brailsford, who was named Coach of the Year at the ceremony at the Excel in London, and Toni Minichiello - who was named Coach of the Year at the UK Coaching Awards 2012:Supported by Gillette - and Ivan Lendl, the coaches behind Jessica Ennis and Andy Murray, who came second and third respectively in the Sports Personality of the Year voting.
