New UKCC Endorsements
British Weightlifting have gained UKCC endorsement for their Level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications.
The Coaching Standards Group said, "We would like to congratulate British Weightlifting on their achievement of gaining UKCC endorsement for their Level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications. There were a number of strengths identified by the review panel, but particular attention was paid to the support offered to coaches away from face to face delivery; creating positive learning environments throughout the length of the courses.
Zoe Metcalfe, Coach Education and Courses Manager at British Weightlifting said, "At British Weightlifting we have recently launched a brand new education pathway, redeveloping our whole range of courses on offer to ensure they are all fit for purpose. The UKCC endorsement gives us great confidence that our coaching qualifications at both Level 1 and 2 meet the standards set out by the UK Coaching Framework. We have worked closely with Sports Coach UK to ensure the process was used as a developmental tool, which guided and challenged us to make the journey of the coach a rewarding one; for both levels. We feel our coach education programmes now employ a modern approach to coaching in a changing environment. We are looking forward to embarking on our UKCC Level 3 coaching development and continued work with Sports Coach UK .
