UK Coaching Summit 2011
Following advice from the Home Country Sports Councils and the Planning Group agreed on the theme of: National to Local; Local to National. The Coaching Summit aims to inform, empower and inspire delegates to use what they learn to create positive change to the UK Coaching System in the recruitment, development and retention of coaches.Four broad areas have been identified through surveying the priorities of key stakeholders:
- Recruitment and deployment of coaches, including workforce management
- Coach education and qualifications
- The future coaching landscape
- Using the coaching networks – matching national strategies with local needs
The target audience for open applicants are coach ‘system builders’ including – Home Country Sports Council and Governing Body of Sport Coaching lead officers, Coaching Development Managers, Volunteer and Coach Managers.
The level of experience and understanding of delegates will vary and so will the range of content available at the Summit. Open applications should be appropriate for at least one of the following levels of understanding:
