Applied Coaching Research Conference 2018 – Shaping the Future of Coaching

Our Applied Coaching Research Conference takes place at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester on 27 February 2018.

Tickets are now sold out.

The action packed day will include workshops and presentations from national partners, leading coaching researchers and experts from beyond the world of coaching.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Professor Joan Duda, University of Birmingham
  • Professor Ben Jones, Leeds Beckett University and Research and Innovation Manager at the Rugby Football League (RFL)
  • Clare McGregor, Founder and Managing Director, Coaching Inside and Out (CIAO).

Titled Shaping the Future of Coaching the Conference will explore the latest innovations in coaching research and demonstrate how research is being used to shape the future of coaching, under three broad headings:

  1. Apply – the application of research findings into practice
  2. Impact – understanding the impact of coaching on individuals (participants and coaches) and communities
  3. Advance – exploring the future of coaching, including the latest developments and innovations in research

The conference will provide an inspiring space for networking with colleagues old and new. The conference is for anyone involved, or interested, in research: system managers and policy makers; coaches and coach developers; students, researchers and academics.
