‘The How to Coach: Plan, Do, Review module was really engaging from start to finish and has given me some great ideas about how I can run better sessions and how I can continue to develop myself. I really liked the videos and the opportunity to reflect on what I currently do and compare it to the good practice demonstrated.’

Assessment criteria mapping
This course has been developed as an introduction to the theory behind the planning, delivering and evaluation of coaching sessions. The module can be used to introduce coaches to the importance of the coaching process within their coaching practice.
The course aligns to the level 2 assessment criteria in relation to what a coach needs to know about the coaching process at this level and supports them to be able to answer the relevant assessment questions as part of their level two assessment. This could be as part of general learning around the principles of coaching, or as part of a wider UKCC learning programme. If used as part of a UKCC endorsed programme, we recommend that time is allocated within the learning programme to reflect on the online learning and how it can be contextualised to a sport specific situation.
