Emma Atkins leaves UK Coaching

Director of Coaching, Emma Atkins, has left UK Coaching to take some time out before she plans to return to her roots in the charity sector

Emma joined UK Coaching in 2017 and has worked closely with Mark Gannon, CEO of UK Coaching, to help transform the organisation, collaborate with key partners across the UK to modernise the coaching system, and provide support to coaches.

Of specific note was Emma’s unwavering commitment to the importance of Duty of Care in coaching and the new approach to coach education, providing choice to the learner.

She has often added fun and audience engaging activities to UK Coaching's events and helping those who attended to re-imagine the difference great coaching can make.

Emma has helped develop and build a strong team for the future. She said:

I am super proud of what I have achieved, and I have loved working with all the people in our team, who are exceptional and passionate about being 'Here for the Coach.' I am sure the organisation will go from strength to strength in delivering their ten-year strategy."

Mark Gannon, reflecting on Emma’s impact, said: "Emma has made a significant contribution to the organisation and our work over the past four years.

She was committed to making a difference for coaches, none more so than when the pandemic hit, where she drove an emergency response to coaches when they needed it the most. This work has helped drive the development of our new 10-year strategy to be launched in 2022. I know that Emma's passion has always been to have an impact on people's lives and is now keen to work in an agency which does this directly within the community."

Emma finishes with UK Coaching today. Everyone here would like to thank Emma for all she has done for UK Coaching, our partners and the team.
