Talented coaches chosen for Women’s Coaching Programme

UK Coaching is delighted to reveal the names of coaches selected onto the Women’s Coaching Programme. The programme offers support to female coaches aspiring to progress within their sport performance pathway.

In total, 20 coaches from 13 sports have been welcomed onto the four-month programme running from December 2021 to March 2022. 

They are:

Athletics:

  • Jo Wilkinson

Basketball:

  • Corinne Vaughan

Boxing:

  • Naadrah Hafeez

Climbing:

  • Rachel Carr
  • Michelle Forrest

Cycling:

  • Sue Allen

Diving:

  • Georgia Davenport
  • Mollie James

Dressage:

  • Kate Cowell

Fencing:

  • Beth Davidson
  • Dominique Szokolovics

Judo:

  • Louise Renicks
  • Samantha Smithson

Skiing:

  • Emma Farrington
  • Strength and Conditioning:
  • Teleri Hamilton

Swimming:

  • Lesley Batson
  • Claudia Clements

Volleyball:

  • Alex Smith

Through a series of workshops, the coaches will explore the type of coach they want to be, the individuals they work with, the environment they create and their coaching practice.

The programme has been designed to have a strong impact on female coaches, including:

  • Increased self-awareness.
  • Broader understanding of talent development environments.
  • Enhanced coach-athlete interactions.
  • Developing reflective practice.
  • Developing personal coaching behaviours.
