It is easy for coaches to get frustrated with injured athletes. We want them to get back quickly so they can compete. The athlete wants that too. The danger of getting them back too soon is that they may reinjure themselves, sometimes seriously.
Conversely, if the rehabilitation process is isolated and separated from the coaching environment, the athlete may get demotivated or be prevented from any ‘training’ activity in a well-meaning effort to protect them.
We will provide guidelines for coaches on how to integrate and encourage the rehabilitation process within your environment.
