As coaches we support people to learn to move more skilfully. If we understand what is being learnt and how people learn, we can plan and adapt our coaching practice to be more effective.

Essentially, we can think of movement (perceptual motor) skill as being made up of three intertwined and connected areas: Intention, Attention and Calibration.
