Fundamentals of Movement: Part 4

The fourth and final video in the Youth Physical Development Model series focuses on the importance of strength training at all stages of development

UK Coaching was formerly known as Sports Coach UK. We changed our name after expanding our support as an organisation. We’re now taking it wider than traditional sports because great coaching goes much, much further.

Strength is a key component to building other physical qualities, fundamental movement skills and helps to prevent injury, regardless of gender. The video explains how strength training should be prioritised over endurance-based activities, particularly in the earlier stages of a person’s development.
