The Talent Development Pathway team at British Cycling has chosen to incorporate more nutrition ‘coaching’ into its Talent programme over the last three years.
It is ‘coaching’ as opposed to prescription as the team covers a range of disciplines and events and works with a range of ages, abilities and aspirations around cycling.
Through the curriculum planning and coaching practice, they have laid some formidable groundwork by highlighting and reinforcing the following key points:
