In this session, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Gloucestershire WIll Roberts, County Coach Developer at the Football Association Sally Needham and UK Coaching's Nick Levett explore a range of games-based approaches to coaching.
Being able to design practices that utilise games and support athletes' movement and thinking skills has the potential to accelerate learning and enjoyment. In this session, Will, Sally and Nick explore why it is valuable to utilise a range of games-based approaches to coaching and share some examples of how they can be brought to life in your sessions.
This Curious Coaches' Club session links closely with the Time2Learn session on Friday 7 August, which further explores how coaches using games can start to factor in new challenges, such as social distancing, within their practice design.
