Duty to Care: Supporting the People You Coach and Yourself

In this recording of a Time2Learn session, UK Coaching's Heather Douglas explores UK Coaching's Duty to Care toolkit, developed to help coaches support the people they coach - and look after themselves along the way. This session focuses particularly on the two pillars of Safeguarding and Mental Well-being

The recent months of isolation and disruption have placed considerable strain on people’s physical and mental well-being. Now more than ever, we need to make sure that we look after the people we coach, regardless of where they are on their sport and physical activity journey. Many coaches have returned or are wanting to return to coaching, but they want the reassurance that they can do this safely and confidently.

Presented by UK Coaching’s Heather Douglas, this session explores UK Coaching’s Duty to Care toolkit, developed to help coaches support the people they coach – and look after themselves along the way. It focuses particularly on the two pillars of Safeguarding and Mental Well-being.
