Coaches and Clean Sport, 12-1pm (GMT) Friday 5 February 2021

Presented by Dr Laurie Patterson, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the Carnegie School of Sport (Leeds Beckett University), this session will encourage you to consider your role in promoting 'clean sport.' Drawing on research that identifies the barriers and enablers to clean sport, you will be asked to reflect on your strategies for addressing doping in your everyday coaching practice, and there will be opportunities to share personal accounts or 'best' practice. The workshop facilitator will also share ideas for potential strategies based on research with coaches and established behaviour change techniques. Secure your place.

Supporting Those Who Coach, 12-1pm (GMT) Friday 19 February 2021

We can all support other coaches. Seniority isn’t necessary: the key is to create connections, collaborate and build great relationships. Presented by UK Coaching’s Senior Coach Developer Tom Hartley and Lead Tutor at UK Coaching Adam Colley, this session will explore what supporting other coaches can look like, the type of support available, and the variety of roles held by people in sport who regularly support coaches. This session will also shine a light on a number of ways that you can offer support to others, and the inspiring part that you can play by being a person that other coaches can share ideas and challenges and be creative with.

Making Reflective Practice Meaningful, 12-1pm (GMT) Friday 11 December 2020

Presented by Professor Brendan Cropley of the University of South Wales, this session will revisit the concept of reflective practice and its place as a vital aspect of coaching, highlighting key principles associated with reflective practice. By demonstrating how coaches can make the process more meaningful for them, this session hopes to facilitate critical and transformative learning from experience. Finally, the barriers to critical engagement, well-reported in the literature and personal accounts, will be raised and discussed, alongside potential strategies for overcoming them. What Do Coaches Think?

AMAZING! Loving Time2Learn… More, more, more, please!

Much more interactive than any other webinar that I have attended!

Enjoyable and challenged my thinking, really liked the interactive elements.

Joining in the Time2Learn webinar was such a positive experience. The session was well-run, well-timed, informative, informal and chatty. I was made to feel welcome and my comments were valued. I enjoyed the banter with other coaches through the chat box and it was great to participate with coaches from a huge range of other disciplines. Thank-you SO much. Can’t wait for the next one!

Love it! We learnt so much from other coaches in other sports.

Really enjoyed this – thank-you – informative, interactive, which has benefits and I really liked the chat box. Thanks UK Coaching!

Good to hear what other coaches are doing and share ideas. Thanks!
