UK Coaching is a charity, funded by the government (through UK Sport and Sport England) to positively impact and develop the sporting system in the UK, with a focus on sports coaching. Our goal is to empower coaches, be that a professional or a dedicated volunteer, with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to excel, and make a lasting difference in people's lives.
UK Coaching provides the strategic leadership, insight and learning that underpins workforce development across the sector.
UK Coaching Solutions is the trading arm of the National Coaching Foundation Group. It generates revenues from learning and development products and consultancy services, for UK Coaching to then reinvest in the coaching system.
This model allows income generated through commercial activity to be reinvested directly back into the sector.
1st4sport is UK Coaching’s Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisation. It provides qualifications across the sporting sector.
1st4sport ensures regulated qualifications meet industry standards and employer expectations.
Play Their Way is a Sport England funded campaign to advocate for child-first coaching and the rights of the child. UK Coaching manage this campaign on behalf of Sport England.
Buddle is a Sport England funded programme to develop and support the governance and sustainability of sports clubs. UK Coaching manage and deliver the workshops element of this programme.
