When you return to coaching, do you have a plan in place to review your sessions regularly, including by considering what worked and what might need to be adapted going forward, and how both you and the people you coach felt about the experience?
In the first instance, it might be beneficial to consider seeking feedback from the people you coach, whether you have introduced new adaptations or not. Finding out how the people you coach feel about your sessions is an important step in designing sessions that meet their needs. However, it’s equally important to consider what you learned from the experience, using your knowledge of the people you coach to inform your coaching practice.
We have depicted several questions to ask yourself in the graphic below. Use them to guide reviews of your coaching practice, so that when you return to coaching, you can do so with full confidence that you are ready to learn and adapt.
