If intelligence quotient (IQ) is a measure of how well you are able to process information and make good decisions, emotional intelligence is your ability to process emotions. This includes your emotions and other people’s and the ability to make good decisions.

We have all met someone who ‘got me’, who were in tune with your thoughts and feelings. That’s emotional intelligence.
