Sarah Taylor's England appointment celebrated by UK Coaching

Legendary wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor will form part of England men's staff for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand in a landmark move for women in coaching.

UK Coaching congratulates Sarah Taylor on her appointment to the England men's coaching staff for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.

The appointment is understood to be the most senior role held by woman in a men's side across England teams in major sports.

Taylor ranks fifth all-time for runs across all formats for England women and scored crucial knocks in the semi-final and final of England's World Cup success of 2017.

But her work as a wicketkeeper was near peerless across the sport - men or women - as she thrilled fans, and delighted bowling team-mates, with razor-sharp reactions when stood up to the stumps.

She now joins the senior England men's coaching set-up for upcoming Tests at Lord's, The Oval and Trent Bridge this June.

Having retired from playing in 2019, Taylor has previously coached the Sussex men's team as well as Manchester Originals in The Hundred. She has also recently worked with England's development team, The Lions, as part of Ashes icon Andrew Flintoff's staff.

She's done a lot of work with the Lions. We've been unbelievably impressed with her and the way she goes about her business. She is one of the best in the business at what she does. She's worked with Andrew Flintoff and Ed Barney, and they can't speak highly enough of her.
