What do we mean by diversity?

The resources available on our diversity pillar cover a wide range of themes, including workplace diversity, equity and inclusion, gender diversity, racial diversity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, inspiring stories of diversity, inclusive leadership, and examples of diversity initiatives.

Diversity is about who you attract to your session. Organisations, clubs, and coaches have an obligation to provide equality of opportunity for all participants. This means preventing discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, age, perceived ability, or sexual orientation.

To achieve equality and equity for all, adopting an intersectional approach is essential. This approach ensures you support individuals by recognising and addressing the unique barriers and challenges they face due to their multiple, overlapping identities (such as race, gender, sexuality, and disability).

By applying this knowledge to your coaching, you can create more comprehensive and effective diversity and inclusion practices.
