The importance of mental health and well-being in coaching
Just as our bodies can become unwell, so can our minds. Coaches have a unique opportunity to positively influence the way people think, feel, and behave. By supporting individuals in building resilience, self-esteem, and confidence, coaches play a crucial role in maintaining and improving psychological and emotional well-being.
Mental health and well-being should never be an afterthought in coaching. Looking after the mental health of the people you coach is just as important as looking after their physical health.
Our mental health and well-being resources cover a wide range of themes designed to significantly enhance your awareness and understanding of this essential aspect of duty of care. Learn how to best support your participants’ mental health and well-being and discover how to make it a priority in your coaching practice. Our guides offer crucial tips, and you can read compelling stories from participants who have struggled with mental health issues and greatly benefited from attentive and responsible coaching.
Additionally, our extensive range of resources will teach you how to better care for yourself. Self-care is vital because coaches need to be in a good place themselves to effectively support their participants and recognise when others are struggling. Looking after yourself is the starting point for caring for others.
